Turning fear around can depend on MANY factors.  Are you hanging around inspiring, courageous risk-takers?  Or are you listening to the same song, from the same chorus, every day.  You know the song I mean, it’s all about the economy, the government, the X, Y or Z reason that life stinks.  As Jack Canfield told me, you’re the composite of the five people you spend the most time with. SO, are the dominant people in your life positive and uplifting? Or negative and draining? (A bigger question:  Are YOU negative and draining? Because THAT is the voice you hear the most, of course!)  Assess and make your companionship choices wisely. Your energy is precious; spend that resource only where you want to and where you find empowerment and inspiration.

What about some other common fears – are you afraid that there’s not enough of “it” out there, and you have no chance to get it? No way; that’s just another illusion. Scarcity is a lie. There’s plenty for everyone. Every day the Department of the Treasury is printing more money, the sun is generating more energy, new people are coming into your life, new opportunities are being created. That’s how the world works: everything is in motion.

Think you need to be more like someone else to succeed? Forget it. The second you start thinking that way, you’ll become a counterfeit version of both yourself and your model, and believe me, that won’t make you a success. Learn from other people, people you know and people you read about, but make what you learn your own. An authentic and empowered YOU is your best partner. Finding those people to empower us, teach us and inspire us is a HUGE win, of course.  And once you find that crowd or that mentor, stick with them!  [Stand by for a shameless plug here!]
