#1. Not getting a mentor soon enough. What did I learn? Way too much time and money were wasted on making mistakes simply because I didn’t have the necessary knowledge/experience to know what came next. That is not the way to build real strategies for succes or biz building, that’s for sure.
#2. I was really overwhelmed and often didn’t know what activities were necessary to move the needle vs. what could be skipped/delegated/done later. (See my recent blog on using independent contractors, and hey, consider getting an intern! They’re enthusiastic, can help you ROCK your revenue, and can really learn from what you’ve got going on.)
#3. Not having a coach and a group to hold me accountable and help me stay focused. I wasted a ton of time and even missed opportunities because I was not part of a vibrant community of entrepreneurs. It led to me being lonely, isolated, and suffering too much!
