Success Story of the Month – January!
February 11, 2009Sharing the Love by Paying it Forward
February 16, 2009A Valentine’s Message: Pay it Forward
Since I’ve written a pretty good success story early in life, I make paying it forward an important priority regarding business building. I know what works AND what doesn’t work. I know how to find financing, create proper niche orientation, set up a strong foundation of advisors and achievable goals, etc., etc. – and I’m DRIVEN to share this with others. Why? There’s simply no doubt that the good old American entrepreneurial spirit WILL get us out of this recession – so inspiring and facilitating that is huge in my life.
Okay, so what is a rockin’ entrepreneur and biz builder like me to do when I wake up one morning feeling like I got run over and finding myself unexpectedly sidelined by PAIN? That is what happened the morning I gave my keynote speech at
At the end of my speech was an AWESOME VIP reception. A woman (Patti Skoviak on photo attached) walked up and said “I’m a chiropractor.” I said, “Great timing! WOW. I’m ready for my adjustment.” She adjusted me, I signed 200 books and schmoozed, and after the crowd left, we cleared the book signing table. The lovely Patti Skoviak then had me crawl up on top of the table and adjusted me again (see photo).
But wait–there’s more. She adjusted me a third time early Thursday morning before I flew home. AND for all 3 adjustments she wouldn’t let me pay her.
“Just pay it forward,” she said.
Moral of the story? EXPECT the universe to answer your requests. It is ALL out there for every single one of us. Be ready to work hard to create a life of abundance and success, but don’t be surprised when it shows up at your door. Be ready to participate and help others and to inspire them, but don’t be surprised when they show up ready to help you too!
And if you’re ever in Ft Collins,
