May 15, 2009How do you start a social networking presence?
Today’s social networking world can be amazingly overwhelming to new biz builders (and old biz builders for that matter!). Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, MySpace, Ning, PerfectNetworker, Jekyll, Hyde … (Okay, I’m kidding about the last two, but you get the picture). And when you go looking for the how-to on this, there’s SO much info that it’s hard to know where to start.
That’s why I’ll be talking a lot about social networking and online branded expertise at my Results Now Summit on June 5 and 6. I’ll cover the MUSTS, as well as the dos and don’ts! For today, I think covering the don’ts is a quick and easy lesson that you can adopt immediately and save yourself a pitfall. #1. DON’T ignore this! Social Networking is not a fad that will disappear in a few years. It is a phenomenon for biz builders and service providers. This is even true if you don’t have a website! #2. Don’t make yourself crazy! Only use as many networks as you can maintain once or twice a week. Potential customers won’t wait around for you to check some obscure social networking site once a month.
Okay gang. I’ll cover these tips in greater detail in June. If you haven’t registered yet, definitely do so today. Spots are filling up fast. Here’s to LIVING your DREAMS!
