August 4, 2009Christine’s Quick ’n’ Easy Way to Set and Achieve Goals – Part Two
If you are REALLY serious about your goals, you have already done steps one, two and three – and you took a few minutes at some point today to READ through your goal cards. Haven’t done it yet? It’s TIME to prioritize and get SERIOUS about goals. You will spend FAR less time chasing your tail and create a life where you’re chasing dreams instead. Here are the last three steps in my Quick ‘n’ Easy Goal Setting Tool.
- Have some fun and create a “dream board” of pictures you draw or clip from magazines illustrating what you want to achieve, to become, or to get
- Mark time out on your calendar for growth and personal development. I go to two or more self-improvement seminars per year, in addition to solo retreats. You’ll return to your life, work, relationships, and service with new insights and renewed energy.
- Remember that focusing on your goals isn’t enough. You need to keep your ears and eyes open for opportunities and do the work required to achieve these goals.
If you need help blasting through negative illusions, here are two fantastic resources. Read Ten Days to Self- Esteem by Dr. David Burns, and actually do the exercises—I got more from this workbook than I did from over $3,000 in therapy—and all for $15!
To your continued success!
